SINOTRUK HOWO 400HP 6x4 Dump Truck with 20 CBM Tipper Body | Chengda
Built on the field-proven SINOTRUK HOWO chassis, this 6x4 tipper is made for mining, quarry and construction hauling. Its 20 CBM manganese steel body carries an 8mm floor and 6mm side walls on a reinforced double-layer frame, riding on HC16 heavy reduction drive axles rated at 2x16,000kg. A 400HP WP12 engine and HYVA hydraulic lifting cylinders keep cycle times short on rough haul roads and steep ramps. Send us your requirements for factory pricing and the complete specification.

Where This Truck Works
On copper-belt mining sites in Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo, haul roads are abrasive and ramps are steep — conditions that punish ordinary tippers. The reinforced double-layer frame and HC16 heavy reduction drive axles rated at 2x16,000kg keep the 20 CBM manganese steel body steady while blasted rock moves from pit floor to crusher feed point, shift after shift.
Highway and earthworks contractors across Latin America and Southeast Asia count on the 400HP WP12 engine for the gradeability needed to climb out of soft, waterlogged borrow pits, while the HYVA hydraulic tipping gear discharges cleanly on uneven ground. The 8mm floor and 6mm side walls absorb impact from excavator loading, cutting downtime and repair bills over the working life of the truck.

Why Buyers Choose This Truck
400HP for Loaded Climbs The WP10/WP12 or WD615 powerplant delivers 400HP (WP12.400E201) — enough torque to pull a full load out of steep pits and haul ramps without bogging down. | 20 CBM Manganese Steel Body Measuring 5600 × 2300 × 1500 mm, the body is fabricated from high-strength manganese steel — 8mm on the floor, 6mm on the sides — so it stands up to repeated impact from abrasive loads. |
Double-Layer Reinforced Frame A two-layer chassis spreads payload stress along the full length of the frame, reducing fatigue and stretching service life under continuous off-road hauling duty. | HC16 Heavy Reduction Axles Rated at 2x16,000kg, the HC16 heavy reduction drive axles keep traction and load-bearing performance dependable in demanding earthmoving operations. |
HYVA Hydraulic Tipping HYVA or ventral hydraulic cylinders raise and lower the body smoothly, shortening dump cycles and keeping the operation safe on uneven ground. | Operator Comfort, Export Backing The HW76 or TX cabin seats two with a bunk and air conditioning, and each unit is backed by Chengda's export record to over 80 countries plus ISO9001-controlled quality checks. |

Packing, Shipping & Trade Terms
Trucks leave our plant in nude packing, with anti-corrosion treatment applied to the chassis and exposed metal surfaces for the ocean voyage. Loading can be arranged by bulk vessel, Ro-Ro or flat rack container, depending on your port. Standard builds are completed in 15-20 working days, while custom configurations need 25-30 days. Quotations are issued on FOB, CFR, CIF and EXW terms, and our export team handles loading, documentation and delivery to your nominated port; freight is quoted separately against your exact destination.

Send your port and quantity — we will confirm the freight figure and cost breakdown.

Buyer FAQs
How large is the dump body, and what is it made from?
The body measures 5600 × 2300 × 1500 mm, roughly 20 CBM in volume. It is fabricated from high-strength manganese steel with an 8mm floor and 6mm side walls for abrasion resistance.
Which engine and power options can I choose from?
Two ratings are offered on this model: 380HP (WD10.38-40) and 400HP (WP12.400E201), both diesel. The engine series is WP10/WP12 or WD615 depending on the configuration you select.
Can the dump body be adapted to my hauling requirements?
Yes. Send us the dimensions, steel grade or compartment layout you need, and our engineers will build the body to suit your application.
What axles and tipping system are fitted?
HC16 heavy reduction drive axles rated at 2x16,000kg carry the load, while HYVA or ventral hydraulic cylinders provide stable, controlled dumping.
How long do production and delivery take?
Standard production takes about 15-20 working days from order confirmation; customised builds need 25-30 days. Ocean transit depends on your destination port, and our logistics team will propose the most practical routing and quote the freight separately.
What quality certifications does the manufacturer hold?
Our plant runs to ISO9001 quality management standards, and every truck is inspected by our own technicians before it is loaded for shipment.
